Abstract
The electron kinetics is studied in a degenerate conductor heated due to absorption of a high-frequency field localised in the skin layer. The nonlocal heat transfer by electrons is described under conditions when the spatial inhomogeneity scale of the electron distribution is larger than the electron momentum relaxation length, but is smaller than the square root of the product of the electron momentum and energy relaxation lengths.
