Abstract

It is shown, that under the conditions of the electrotemperature effect (ETE) nonlinear sections occur on current–voltage characteristics (CVC) of tellurium crystals with different dependence of current on voltage. The analysis of CVC and differential conduction leads to the conclusion, that the presence of saturation and the dropping section on CVC is stipulated by the exclusion phenomenon in tellurium. The occuring high conductivity under conditions of ETE, i.e. exciting state, characterized by localizability, time stability, significantly nonlinear dependence of current density on electric field intensity, is a Davidov soliton, which plays an important role in the processes of charge and energy transfer.
