Abstract

The scattering of an intense sound wave by a Helmholtz resonator can be described by a nonlinear (to take into account the hydrodynamic effects in the resonator throat) zero-range potential model. The case in which the wave is linear everywhere except in the resonator throat is considered. A comparison with the results of other models is made.
