Abstract

The heat integrated distillation column (HIDiC) has large energy-saving potentials. The control strategy of HIDiC is a challenging issue due to its great nonlinear dynamics. In this work, a simplified nonlinear wave model of HIDiC is established. An advanced control strategy combined the proposed wave model with generic model control (GMC) is proposed (SWGMC). Compared with a generic model controller based on a data-driven model (TGMC) and another wave-model based generic model controller (WGMC) developed by our previous work, the SWGMC gains the best control effect, which confirms the validity of the proposed nonlinear wave model.
