Abstract
Bending of nonlinear viscoelastic beams with small or large deformations is analyzed in the presence of viscoelastic piezoelectric devices placed on the upper and lower outer beam fibers. Probabilities of failure and corresponding ultimate structural survival times for delamination onset are derived and evaluated.
