Abstract

By assuming that quark-quark double scattering contributes appreciably to high-energy hadron-hadron scattering, we obtain a quadratic and a cubic sum rule for hadron-hadron total cross sections. These sum rules are found to agree with experiment at an incident hadron momentum of $16 \frac{\mathrm{BeV}}{c}$.
