Abstract

The interaction of an electron-ion plasma with a strong high-frequency electromagnetic field is studied by means of the Stratonovitch stochastic method. The hierarchy of equations obtained is broken by means of an expansion in power of a small dimensionless parameter. The solution of this set of equations leads to the computation of density fluctuations spectral densities, dynamical friction, and diffusion terms of the evolution equation of the one-particle distribution function.
