Abstract

We will consider the nonlinear resonant three-wave interactions of Alfvén waves. By using both analytic developments and numerical calculations, further insights into the nature of these nonlinear wave interactions are given. The wave interactions are shown to be non-explosive and to lead to a periodic energy exchange.
