Abstract
The application of PCAC to pions and kaons transforming non-linearly under SU(3) × SU(3) is shown to determine uniquely, to all orders in the fields, an effective symmetry breaking Langragian for pseudoscalar mesons. This effective Lagrangian yields both octet symmetry breaking and the Gell-Mann, Oakes, Renner Scheme for the pseudoscalar mesons.
