Abstract
What is wrong with being married by love? Why are there so many divorces between couples married by love? Because what we call love is actually lust. It turned out that to improve the quality of the species, Mother Nature sexually attracts you to your opposite. For that reason, marriage based only on sexual attraction cannot last because you cannot be happy with your opposite to the end of your life. Couples married following sexual attraction would be mathematically presented as a resonance of the two nonlinear sexual oscillators. Hawaiians believe that choosing a life-partner based on sexual attraction only is a choice from viewpoint of a fish, which knows only water. The key to harmonious marriage is to find your Soul Mate - an individual who resonate to you not only sexually, but also mentally and emotionally. Hawaiians believe that choosing a Soul Mate as a life-partner is a choice from the viewpoint of a bird, which knows water, air, and earth. It would be mathematically presented as a resonance of three nonlinearly coupled oscillators: mental, emotional, and sexual. Marriage between Soul Mates is expected to be much stronger because it is a resonance of three couples of nonlinear oscillators instead of one. It is also explained why time seems to run faster in exciting conversation.
