Abstract

Recent progress in the characterization of the nonlinear nature of the broadband fluctuations in magnetically confined devices has provided a missing link between experimental measurements and theoretical turbulence models. At the same time, the study of influence of atomic physics drives (ionization and radiation) on plasma turbulence has stimulated new experimental developments. A view of the latest experimental results in these areas is presented.
