Abstract

The new type of ultrasonic CT system is proposed. In this CT system, two different frequency waves are projected as primary wave, and not only primary waves but also secondary wave generated as parametric array are received. The secondary wave sound pressure depends on attenuation and nonlinear parameter of media, so nonlinear parameter tomography can be reconstructed in addition to conventional attenuation tomography. Furthermore nonlinear parameter tomography is compensated by attenuation distribution. We show the principle of the new type of CT system, and the ability and the effectiveness of this method with some basic experiments.
