Abstract

Polydiacetylene (PDA) nanofibers (NFs) have been successfully modified with different amount of silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) by using polydopamine as both adhesion layer and reducing agent. The enhancement factor of absorbance in PDA NFs by localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect has been evaluated from the transient transmittance spectra. The absorption of PDA NFs modified with suitable amount of Ag NPs was clearly enhanced by LSPR effect, while reduced considerably with further increasing adsorbed Ag NPs owing to saturation of concentrated light intensity and shielding of pump light by Ag NPs.
