Abstract

The adjustment of the nonlinear optical properties of dyes using nanostructured species allows determining different conditions of the interaction of these two groups of materials. We measure the saturable absorption of anionic dye erythrosine, gold nanoparticles, and their associates at the wavelength of 532 nm using 10 ns pulses. The association of erythrosine and Au nanoparticles led to the notable suppression of saturable absorption.
