Abstract

The coherent combining of supercontinuum radiation from multiple filaments induced by an ultrashort laser pulse is demonstrated by supercomputer simulations. Four-wave mixing of supercontinuum field waveforms with an ultrashort reference pulse is shown to retrieve the coherent components from multiple supercontinua and combine them into a beam whose spatial and temporal coherence is much higher than those of supercontinua in multiple filaments.
