Abstract
We report on experimental and theoretical investi-gations of nonlinear metasurfaces from nanostructured thin films of lithium niobate, and metasurfaces hybridized with transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers. We show that the second-order nonlinear interactions in metasurfaces enable tailorable harmonic frequency generation as well as entangled photon pair sources by spontaneous parametric down-conversion.
