Abstract

Nonlinear (at the second harmonic frequency of the incident light) optical diffraction by twodimensional lattice of magnetic bubbles (cylindrical magnetic domains) is theoretically studied. Because the periods of these structures are comparable with the wavelengths of the fundamental and the second harmonic radiation, it would be possible to observe diffraction at the second harmonic frequency. We investigate the influence of the value of external magnetic field on the nonlinear magneto-optical diffraction behavior.
