Abstract
The very high (up to 820% of the magnetoimpedance ratio) and sensitivenonlinear giant magnetoimpedance effect has been studied in the FeCoNimagnetic tubes electroplated onto Cu(3%)Be nonmagnetic wire forfrequencies from 1-10 MHz. Special annealing was carried out in order toinduce the magnetic anisotropy. The high harmonic generation was observedand the harmonics show larger variations with the external magnetic fieldthan the fundamental frequency. The super high sensitivity of theharmonics is promising as regards the increase of the sensitivity ofmagnetoimpedance sensors.
