Abstract

Nonlinear interaction of high power beam in weakly relativistic and ponderomotive cold quantum plasma is investigated in present communication. Here, elliptical gaussian beam is taken. 2nd order differential equations for beam widths of semi major and semi minor axes of elliptical beam have been set up by making use of WKB and paraxial ray approximation. Numerical solution of these differential equations has been done by well known 4th order Runge-Kutta technique. The variation of these beam widths is studied against normalized distance for various laser and plasma parameters. Present results are also compared with the case of relativistic cold quantum plasma and classical relativistic plasma.
