Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new class of superposed states as nonlinear elliptical states using the f-deformed coherent state approach. Nonclassical properties and quantum statistics of the introduced state have been investigated by evaluating several criteria such as quadrature squeezing, Mandel parameter and the variation of Vogel characteristic function. As is observed, the introduced state can possess prominent nonclassical features. Finally, it is proved that, a theoretical scheme in which the two-level atom alternately interacts with a dispersive quantized cavity field and a resonant classical field can be able to produce various classes of nonlinear elliptical states if the initial atom-field state is appropriately prepared.
