Abstract

A set of equations is solved which describe the nonlinear interactions of galactic cosmic rays with the moving magnetized solar wind plasma including the inverse effect of cosmic rays on plasma streams. Allowance is also made for solar wind deceleration due to the effect of charge exchange with interstellar neutral atoms. The character of the variations of the Mach number with distance, the conditions of the transition from supersonic to subsonic streaming, and the features of forming the terminal shock wave are studied.
