Abstract
We derive a new nonlinear evolution equation for the order parameter in superfluid 4He using a pseudospin model, which incorporates hard-cores plus attractive nearest-neighbour interactions. An exact solution yields a nontrivial spatial dependence of the vorticity. A density wave with a velocity-dependent amplitude, and a static domain wall structure are also predicted as possible solutions.
