Abstract

We introduce in this paper a novel particle-filter-based distributed algorithm for blind equalization of frequency-selective communication channels. In the considered scenario, multiple receivers observe independently distorted versions of the same broadcast signal, and cooperate to recover it. The new algorithm differs from previous methods by employing a parametric approximation to reduce the associated communication burden. We verify via numerical simulations that the proposed methods leads to a modest degradation in performance compared to previous communication-intensive methods, at equivalent computational costs.
