Abstract
A new set of coupled nonlinear equations is derived which govern the dynamics of low-frequency electrostatic plasma motion in a magnetic field. The electron inertia, the electron thermal pressure, as well as the field aligned variations are included. The present system of equations admits vortex dipole solutions under a novel scaling n = ▿ 2 ⦜ Φ .
