Abstract

Nonlinear pulsed electric field response of charge-density wave (CDW) in η-Mo 4O 11 has been measured in magnetic fields where the quantum Hall effect (QHE) is observable. We have found that the relaxation time characterizing the sliding motion of CDW condensates shows pronounced peaks at magnetic fields corresponding to the Hall plateaus, which strongly suggests that a charge transfer from the CDW condensate system to the quantized carrier (QHE) system occurs.
