Abstract
A nonlinear equation for the Veneziano residue functions is obtained in a Dual Resonance Model. The unitarity property of the dual amplitudes in the narrow resonance limit and the Tye-Veneziano duality for inclusive reactions are used to obtain self-consistency conditions on the residue functions. The coupling constants thus obtained are used to compute various decay modes of vector and tensor mesons. Some of the results are in good agreement with the experimental data.
