Abstract

This paper studies the nonlinear behaviors of the half-bridge buck converter when the load resistance changes. The characteristics of the study are considered as the inductor current in the continuous conduction mode. Firstly, the converter is equivalent to two switching states and is derived into the equivalent mathematical model. According to this model, using MATLAB/ SIMULINK tool to build a half-bridge buck converter block diagram for simulation. When the load resistance changes as the varying parameter in the converter, this paper observes the time-domain waveforms and phase portraits of steady-state to period-doubling bifurcation into chaos. The nonlinear phenomena of converter are verified through simulation results.
