Abstract

Characteristics of the main biochemical components in surface structures and whole cells of unicellular green algae D. tertiolecta and T. viridis before and after the influence of an electromagnetic field (EMF) of industrial frequency were obtained by the method of noninvasive analysis in nonpolarized light. We showed fundamental differences in response to the influence of EMF among cells of algae cultures, which manifest themselves in changes in the main biochemical components and their concentration gradients. These changes led to the transformation of metabolism.
