Abstract
Abstract In this paper the non-interacting control of non-linear multivariable systems is considered. Necessary conditions for the general non-linear multivariable system to be a non-interacting control system are obtained with the aid of a variational method used in the theory of invariance. Sufficient conditions are derived for the case when the system contains control variables linearly. Furthermore, the problem of design of the non-interacting control system by a state variable feedback is investigated and sufficient conditions are obtained by using the concept of relative orders newly defined in this paper.
