Abstract

There are often no low-voltage power supplies on lengthy electrified railway to restrict the improvement of railway informatization. So it is necessary to get low voltage power supplies without laying external power cable. Impedance bond is along with the whole electrified railway. Energy could be obtained by using impedance bonds and be finally converted to a stable and reliable low voltage power supply. The power supply system has the capability of energy acquisition and energy storage, which includes a power acquisition unit, an energy storage converter and a direct power conversion unit. The converters must endure the extremely wide voltage input since the impedance bonds current is extensive. High current charging scheme is adopted due to short energy acquisition time. Considering the system efficiency flyback synchronous rectification scheme is adopted for the two units. The power system is low cost by utilizing electrified railway's own equipment. It is not affected by climatic conditions and has high reliability and high efficiency. The solution and provides a new idea and method for obtaining low voltage power supply without laying power cable.
