Abstract

AbstractThis paper presents the results of a validation study of an inventory to measure the attitude of leaders of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) toward social innovation related to solving local social problems. The study was conducted using a cross‐validation model and an innovative item cluster analysis method to analyze the data, assessing factor structure, the internal consistency of the test, criterion validity, and stability over time. The results indicate a one‐factor structure for the phenomenon and satisfactory psychometric properties for the inventory. The tool makes possible a study of NGO leaders' attitudes toward social innovation to facilitate the design of educational programs related to solving social problems through social innovation.
