Abstract
This chapter focuses mainly on adult non-formal education and training and lifelong learning as promoted and supported by the Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES). It includes adult education, literacy training, non-formal equivalency programs, and other programs intended to meet the varying education and training needs of those who are not able to fulfil their needs in the formal education and training system. Such programs are important for achieving the final stages of basic education for all and for meeting the needs for lifelong learning.
