Abstract

Nonextraction treatment in which the upper and lower first molars are moved distally produced good results in patients with closed bite discrepancies. In use of the technique, advantage is taken of the space created by the difference in size between the mandibular deciduous molars and the permanent premolars. Reports of five cases illustrate the effectiveness of the treatment.
