Abstract
Field equations in Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor theory of gravitation are obtained with the aid a non-static plane symmetric metric in the presence of massive string source. It is shown that a non-static string model, in this theory, does not exist when the sum of the energy density and the tension density of the cosmic string vanishes.
