Abstract

Nonequilibrium dissociation in a mixture of anharmonic oscillators — molecules of a diatomic gas and its atoms — is investigated with allowance for the temperature gradient in the boundary layer. The effect of VT, VV, and VT′ exchanges on the dissociation rate is considered, and the nonequilibrium correction to the macroscopic reaction rate, which depends, in particular, on the temperature gradient and degree of dissociation, is determined.
