Abstract
In this research, a 3D digital image correlation (DIC) method is developed to study strain field insides studied specimens. The reliability of the 3D digital image correlation method is tested by a numerical rotational test and a numerical translational test before 3D DIC method is used to study the images generated from micro CT in which a compression test was conducted.
