Abstract
AbstractIt is shown that under mild conditions the double oscillator with random parametric excitation satisfies the nondegeneracy properties that form the basic assumptions for the qualitative theory of stochastic linear systems. Necessary and sufficient conditions for hypoellipticity and weak ellipticity of the associated generator are established as well as the non skew‐symmetrizability of the matrices of the system.
