Abstract

Using the waveform diversity technique and the spatial diversity technique, MIMO radar has much more considerable advantages than conventional radar systems in the field of moving target detection. Since most of the moving targets appear sparsely in the scene of interest, sparse signal recovery algorithms can be used for moving target detection in MIMO radar systems. In this paper, the `1/2-norm-regularizationbased moving target detection model of MIMO radar is presented. Then, a non-convex optimization method based on `1/2-norm for moving target detection, named as `1/2-norm based iterative minimization algorithm (`1/2-IMA) is proposed to solve the problem. Compared with SLIM method and Reweighted`1 method, numerical results show that the proposed method offers better moving target imaging performance and noise immunity performance with smaller computational complexity.
