Abstract

UWB (Ultra Wideband) modulation / demodulation systems are studied in the high band (7.25-10.25 GHz), and BER (Bit Error Rate) performances are evaluated in body area network environments. UWB-IR (UWB-Impulse Radio) pulse is transmitted by pulse position modulation (PPM) and demodulated by energy detection, where interference signals of UWB-IR communication exist and in the body area network channel. The integration interval is an important parameter in energy detection. Performance evaluation for the integration interval is further extended to interference environments and IEEE802.15.6 WBAN multipath channel.
