Abstract

The development of fractional photothermolysis is one of the most important discoveries in medicine and laser surgery. Nonablative fractional laser (NAFL) resurfacing allows real results with fewer side effects and shorter recovery times. The wavelengths of the near and middle infrared are indicated for the nonablative resurfacing technique. Potential complications associated with nonablative lasers and fractional nonablative lasers include persistent erythematous reactions and, rarely, vesicular reactions.
