Abstract
In the crossing symmetric Reggeon calculus based on the 1 N expansion, s-channel unitarity sum rules are written down explicitly to each order in 1 N . Some of the lowest order sum rules are shown to imply a non-vanishing bare triple-Pomeron coupling at t = 0, irrespectively of the bare Pomeron intercept.
