Abstract

Non-transversaldiffusion seems similar to the Arnold diffusion, but it is adifferent phenomenon since it could be applied to integrable systemsin contrast to the Arnold diffusion, which is a phenomenon that onlytakes place in non integrable systems. In this paper, the existenceof the non-transversal heteroclinic chain in the quintic nonlinearSchrodinger equation is studied. Based on a finite dimensionalsystem of ordinary differential equations, the Toy model systemassociated with the quintic nonlinear Schrodinger equation, weconstruct the non-transversal heteroclinic chain of the Toy modelsystem. The explicit expression for the dynamics of the heteroclinicis given.
