Abstract

In Hg(Fe)Se, the pinning of the Fermi energy at the Fe 2+-3d 6 impurity level involves a reduction of the charge center scattering rate, which in turn leads to very pronounced quantum oscillation phenomena in various kinds of experiments. In the present paper we report on optical investigations of the AC magnetoconductivity in pulsed magnetic fields up to 28 T. The results are related to previous measurements of the DC magnetoresistance and interpreted in terms of Kubo's conductivity formula.
