Abstract

Non-noble metal catalysts (NNMC) have been prepared from iron in acidic solution by imbibing the solution into a porous activated carbon. Rotating ring disk electrode (RRDE) measurements have been performed along with 24 hour electrolysis at 600 mV. These catalysts are found to be very active for oxygen reduction and have good stability over time.
