Abstract
204 Consecutive diabetics were compared with 204 age- and sex-matched controls. There appeared a significant relation between the degree of micro-angiopathy, as judged from the ocular fundus, and the degree of a slowly developing blepharoptosis with intact upper eyelid crease. The pathogenesis of the condition seems to be of a myo-pathic nature.
