Abstract

Palliative care is multi-professional and interdisciplinary care that aims to relieve a patients’ suffering and improve their quality of life. The care and management of patients with progressive, non-cancerous, medical conditions, may not have always been afforded the opportunity of access to hospice and specialist palliative care services, but this is changing. This month’s web words completes the recent review of resources relating to some non-malignant conditions.
