Abstract

At high reduced temperatures and low transport current densities, in the mixed state of superconducting niobium and vanadium, a non-linear behavior of the resistivity and the associated heat dissipation is observed. The I-V characteristics is found to obey a power law. The dependence of the power on magnetic field strength and temperature is investigated.
