Abstract

Abstract This paper presents a non linear predictive controller design method which is applied to an electromagnetic suspension system to increase the stability domain and improve the dynamic behaviour of the non-linear system around the equilibrium point. This non-linear controller is able to compensate non-linear system uncertainties which are not considered in the state feedback pole placement control design combined with fuzzy logic controller, and can tolerate a wider range of uncertainties. Simulations are performed to illustrate these results.
