Abstract
For an infinite homogeneous plasma one constructs a model of progressive electromagnetic waves propagating parallel to an exterior magnetic field that is uniform and constant.In the limit at which the amplitude of the wave approaches zero, one comes back to the classical dispersion relation by means of a method for avoiding the habitual singularity.
