Abstract
The authors propose the development of a nonlinear model for a small DC motor fed from a single phase thyristor bridge, as well as the development of a method for identification of the model parameters, which holds for a large range of speeds. The authors study the variation of the model parameters with respect to various operating points of the motor, and various values of the digital speed controller parameters.
